The “Ask Civil Constable” assistant on this website answers general questions about the services of Middlesex Notary Co LLC d/b/a CIVIL CONSTABLE (“CIVIL CONSTABLE,” “we,” “us”) and helps you find the right page or form. This Disclaimer explains what the assistant is, its limits, and how the information you enter is handled.
1. Nature of the Assistant
1.1 The assistant is an automated tool, not a person. When artificial-intelligence features are enabled, it uses a large language model provided by Anthropic. When they are not enabled, it displays matching pages from this website.
1.2 The assistant draws on information published on this website, including our services, the request process, coverage and the Document Center.
1.3 The assistant cannot access your account, requests, invoices or documents, and cannot submit, change, accept or cancel a request.
2. Limitations
2.1 Accuracy. Responses generated by artificial intelligence may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect, even when they appear confident. Confirm any important information with CIVIL CONSTABLE before relying on it.
2.2 No legal advice. The assistant does not provide legal advice, select forms, calculate legal deadlines or determine whether service is valid. CIVIL CONSTABLE is not a law firm. Consult an attorney about legal questions.
2.3 No commitments. Nothing the assistant states is a quote, an acceptance of an assignment, a promise of a service date or a modification of our terms. Only a written quote and written acceptance from CIVIL CONSTABLE has that effect.
2.4 Deadlines. If you face a court or statutory deadline, call 781-579-7462 rather than relying on the assistant.
3. Information You Enter
3.1 Do not enter case details, documents, Social Security numbers, financial information or other persons’ personal information into the assistant. Use the secure request form instead.
3.2 When artificial-intelligence features are enabled, your messages and the recent conversation in your browser tab are sent to Anthropic to generate a response. Your name, account details, IP address and request information are not sent with them.
3.3 CIVIL CONSTABLE does not store assistant conversations on its servers. The conversation remains in your browser tab until you close it.
3.4 CIVIL CONSTABLE does not use assistant conversations to train artificial-intelligence models.
4. Internal Tools
CIVIL CONSTABLE staff use an artificial-intelligence tool to help prepare invoice drafts. It receives only billing information, such as client name, billing email and amounts, and never documents. A person reviews and approves every invoice before it is sent, and the tool cannot charge payment methods or issue refunds.
