Accessibility Statement
Civil Constable wants everyone to be able to request service, read our information and use our forms.
Our goal
This website is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
What we’ve done
- Semantic page structure with headings, landmarks and a “Skip to main content” link.
- Every form field has a visible label; errors are described in text, next to the field and in a summary.
- All menus, accordions, dialogs and forms work with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Text and controls meet WCAG AA contrast ratios in both light and dark appearance, and respond to increased-contrast settings.
- Text resizes with your browser and system settings, and pages reflow to 320 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling.
- Touch targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- Animation is minimal and is switched off when your device is set to reduce motion.
- Information is never conveyed by color alone.
Known limitations
- Some PDF forms in the Document Center, including official federal forms, were created by third parties and may not be fully accessible to screen readers. The online fill tool presents each form’s fields as a standard accessible web form.
- Documents you or others upload may not be accessible.
