What this service is
A rush request asks us to review your assignment ahead of standard requests and, if it can be accepted, to attempt service on an accelerated schedule.
The same authority, document and location review applies to rush requests. Speed never changes who may lawfully serve a document.
What to provide
- Complete, final documents ready to serve — not drafts
- The exact date and time by which service must be attempted or completed, and why
- The best address and times to find the recipient
- A phone number where you can be reached right away
Who typically requests it
How intake works
- Step 1
Complete the rush and urgent service requests form
Answer the questions for this document and upload the complete set. You can save and finish later.
- Step 2
Receive your reference number
You and Civil Constable both receive an email confirmation. Your request is now in the review queue — not yet accepted.
- Step 3
Review
Rush requests are reviewed first. We confirm by phone or email whether the assignment can be accepted on the requested timeline and what rush handling would cost before any work begins.
- Step 4
Scope, quote and authorization
If the assignment can be accepted, you review and authorize the written scope and quote in your portal. Work begins after authorization.
- Step 5
Attempts and completion record
Attempts follow the accepted plan. You receive status updates and the applicable return or completion record.
Important limitations
- Rush or same-day service is not guaranteed and is not confirmed until the assignment is accepted.
- Rush handling may carry an additional charge, stated in the quote.
- If you are within hours of a deadline, call after submitting so we know to look for your request.
